Brittany is Brooke's older sister and closest friend. She lives in the Charlotte, NC area with her family including daughters; Ava 4, Caroline 3, Lauren 1, and husband Richard. Brittany was the first to learn of the ring and had to keep it a secret from her two cohorts, Jan and Brooke. The week of the engagement Brittany said to Doug "Hurry I don't know how much longer I can hold this in!".  Brittany has already been a great help in assisting Brooke with all the little details of planning.

Christie and Brooke met in high school at The Academy of the Holy Cross. Hitting it off immediatley and spending a lot of their time together enjoying all the events and activities of high school life! Christie and Brooke lived together after college in Bethesda MD and grew as they both took on the working world. A supportive and great friend who is always there for her.  Christie has recent experience helping with her sister's wedding and will be a great asset to this team of planners!

Beverly is Brooke's cousin and ultimately a great friend. Their memories are strong , dating back to the mid 80's. Beverly has been a part of all the big events in Brooke's life.  Beverly is the other half of 'Team Burns' an unstopable and quite entertaining team when it comes to competitive games (especially against Doug). Beverly is another great addition to the bridal party and will keep all of us laughing, probably getting us in trouble ( well...contributing to) and helping with the entire planning process.

Sheila and Brooke met in college at Saint Joseph's University and were suite mates and house mates for 3 of those years.  Although the first nickname Brooke gave her was 'mother hen' as Sheila was always looking after her 7 roommates, she also knows how to have a good time... and they do! Shelia is a great friend, a huge part of Brooke's life and is exactly the type of friend you want to have standing by you on your wedding day!  Sheila will be contributing her own recent wedding planning skills to our big day!

Brooke and Kari met in college at Saint Joseph's University. Kari  was the first person Brooke met on campus and is still a big part of her life. They were placed as roommates freshman year because they were both from Maryland.  To their pleasant surprise both had similar personalities, similar interests and similar backgrounds (a large family and both were home-bodies). Lucky for Brooke, Kari's family moved only miles from school and was willing to take her in as their own! Kari and Brooke were roomates throughout college and have been great friends ever since. Kari will keep Brooke from worrying, because they'll be giggling and she'll be helping along the way.

Lauren and Brooke met in high school ( rival high schools). They became close after college and became roomates in Bethesda, where they enjoyed many late night dance parties! Lauren is always happy to lend a listening ear,  is a great friend. Lauren and Brooke have similar interests and are always up for a good party! Lauren, aka MVP as Brooke refers to her (Most Valuable Planner) will be assisting, lending a helping hand with all the wedding details, and more importantly partying along the way!

Ava is Aunt B's (Brooke's) first niece and godchild. Ava went with Aunt B to get her nails done the day after the engagement. If you ask her her name she will respond "Ava Elizabeth Come Here". She is excited for the wedding, can not wait to wear a pretty princess dress and get her nails done again!

Caroline Aunt B's niece. She will be a pro walking down the isle for the second time! Caroline is known for her bright sunny attitude early in the morning; greeting everyone with "hi morning" when she wakes. She was slow to warm up to Doug, but now enjoys cuddling and coloring with him.

Lauren is Aunt B's youngest niece. Lauren is excited to finally be able to walk down the isle. She will be handing out kisses and showing off her dance moves throughout the night.

Chris and Doug go back to elementary school. They would play football in the front yard, Doug (Chicago Bears of course) and Chris ( NY Giants). Doug being the huge guy he is claims he took Chris down, a lot! The Bowens household was a second home to Doug as well as the homework house where Doug spent many afternoons. Chris also known as Boss, Bossman, or Bowen is a great friend, a big part of his life and the perfect Best Man!

Michael is the man, at least that is what he will tell you.  He is Doug's younger brother and is carrying on the Penn State tradition as a Sophomore at Penn State, Wilkes-Barre and starting point guard for the basketball team.  Michael will be sure to provide entertainment leading up and during the big event.  If he decides to take his jacket off after the wedding, we all just hope the shirt underneath has sleeves.

Jeff is the oldest of the Ackley boys and by far the most musically inclined.  While he gets through the days as an Accountant, at night he works on his singing and dancing skills in various venues with hopes of having his talent spotted.  A veteran groomsman, Jeff will be able to offer invaluable advice leading up to the big day.

Kyle Burns, or KB, is Brooke's younger brother.  Doug met Kyle on the same magical weekend that Doug met Brooke.  Kyle and Doug immediately became good friends through their shared interest of golf, outdoor activities, business, exercise... and of course a shared love for Brooke.  KB likes to make things happen and will surely be a big help along the way.

Joey D and Doug grew up playing basketball together first with Epiphany then with the Redskins of Sayre High.  Joey D used his uncanny ability to "get the cheese" to create many winning seasons at both Epiphany and good ol' Sayre High.  Also a Penn Stater, Joey D has always been a loyal and dependable friend.  He can always be counted on and will be a great person to stand by Doug's side on the big day.

Brian also known as B-Rich grew up a stones throw away from Doug in good ole Sayre PA. Sharing memories from early childhood, going to McDonalds together on Fridays in high school then going on to be roommates in college, and now residents in the big city of D.C. They have come a long way!  Continuing these parallel paths they are now consultants with Booz Allen Hamilton. A shared passion for Penn State Football and beautiful ladies, the two could have been seperated at birth!

Steve Tracy (Steve-o) is a valley boy, a Penn Stater, and well known guitarist within the crew.  Doug and Steve-o have shared many road trips from Sayre to State College. Steve-o is always sure to provide entertainment through stories of his adventures and impromptu acoustic acts   A one-of-a-kind friend who will be the entertainment and humor by Doug's side.

Noah is the youngest of the Ackley boys. He just kicked off his football season and is playing linebacker and offensive line. Brooke and Doug are thrilled to have him help out and be a part of their wedding day.

Ryan is Doug's stepbrother. He is a junior in highschool and shares a love for Penn State football and enjoys working out! He is getting "pumped up" for the wedding. Brooke and Doug are excited to have him there and a part of their big day.
